Sustainable Design Features
- Water Efficiency:
- Low Consumption Toilets - High efficiency,
low consumption toilets use 1.28 gallons or less. When compared with a 3.5 gallon per flush toilet this fixture can save 2.2 gallons per flush or based on 10,000 flushes per year, 22,000 gallons.
- Water Conserving Faucets and Showerheads
- Sink Faucets that meet or exceed EPA WaterSense Criteria.
- Showerheads that use 1.75 gallons per minute. These shower heads deliver 30% water savings over traditional 2.5 gpm showerheads.
- Optimized Energy Performance:
- Carrier Gas Furnace w/ energy Star Rating Carrier Furnaces has 3.5 times tighter temperature control and the quietest furnace you can buy. The Infinity Control and Remote allows control of temperature, humidity, air quality, fan speed and ventilation. Comfort-heat Technology predicts the need for heating while cutting down on temperature swings.
- State Water Heater - Select® High Efficiency water heater with Energy Star Home Program rating.
- GE Profile- Energy Star Refrigerator
22.2 Cu Ft. Energy Star Rated w/ Bottom Freezer and internal ice dispenser. Climate Keeper digital controls and electronic sensors give you a greater degree of control over food preservation. Internal Water Dispenser with
water filtration.
- GE Profile- Energy Star Dishwasher Smart dispense technology- automatic detergent system based on water type to maximize cleanse. Single Rack Wash for small loads minimizes water consumption. QuietPower
seals in sound during wash cycle.
- GE Profile- Energy Star Washer Smart dispense technology- automatic detergent system based on water type and load size. H2ition wash system monitors load sizes and adjusts wash cycles accordingly CleanSpeak allows washer to communicate with dryer for better cloths care and increased time savings.
- Windows and Doors:
- Jeldwen Clad Double-Hung windows with
Low E Glazing Fully operable windows
designed to be highly efficient with low U-Value of 0.36 (R Value= 10.8) and low 0.25
transmitted solar heat gain through glazing (SHGC).
- Low Emitting Materials:
- All Finish materials contain Low or No Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). The Residences
at Milton Village have been designed with close attention to minimizing sound transfer between
all units, both horizontally through walls and vertically through floors and ceilings. The goal of this design was to achieve luxury-level performance while exceeding the State Building Code of STC 45; an improvement of STC 60 is equivalent to halving the total transmitted sound.
